Yarrow (achillea millefolium) is flowering plant belonging to the asteraceae family. Yarrow has been used for thousands of years for medicinal purposes to treat colds, fevers and the flu. Yarrow is native to temperate regions of the northern hemisphere in Asia, Europe and North America.

Yarrow is a diaphoretic which means it helps us sweat. Yarrow helps the body detox through sweat when needed, including during fevers. Yarrow helps detoxify the body and stimulate the lymphatic system. Yarrow may also help boost immune function.

Yarrow has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help fight free radicals in the body and may help prevent the risk of chronic diseases.
